New Skills Fund

The third edition of the New Skills Fund represents an important opportunity for companies and workers who want to face the challenges of the modern labor market through updating and requalification of skills. This tool, promoted by the Ministry of Labour, supports companies that choose to invest in the training of their employees, promoting adaptation to economic, technological, and productive transformations.

What type of training

Named this year "Skills for Innovation", the call aims to support the digital and ecological transition processes of employers, as well as to promote new employment, through the recognition of a contribution to the labor costs of those involved in skills enhancement training courses in the following areas:

technological and digital systems;
introduction and development of artificial intelligence;
sustainability and environmental impact;
circular economy;
ecological transition;
energy efficiency;
corporate welfare and organizational well-being.

Main features

Coverage of labor costs: The Fund directly reimburses companies for the personnel costs related to training hours, thus allowing the development of skills to be combined with production needs.
Customized training: Specific training courses to improve digital, technological, and managerial skills, designed based on company needs.
Focus on competitiveness: Promotes workers' employability and increases the competitiveness of companies.

Timelines and deadlines

Application submission: from February 10, 2025 until resources are exhausted, following the chronological order
Training period: The training activities must be completed within 1 year from approval by the Ministry

The Fund is aimed at all companies with employees in Italy that want to invest in training to update or improve their staff's skills, ensuring greater resilience and adaptability to changes.

It was my first time visiting this facility for the CQC renewal course.
I obviously had access to the meeting room on the ground floor, and I must say it is spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable.
On the ground floor, there is a small room with a coffee machine and a water dispenser, so light refreshments are available during breaks.
As with any proper facility, there is a caretaker, the premises are served by parking spaces — unfortunately paid — and for those coming from Modena, it is also reachable on foot or by bike.
